The most thorough preventive lifestyle scan
V-Check is the ideal preventive tool. V-Check offers a non-threatening and easily accessible total concept for measuring, optimizing and monitoring vitality and lifestyle. This professional, affordable tool can be used to advise clients on the increasing need for a holistic approach to health and preventive health care.

V-Check is a total concept for prevention and optimization of lifestyle. The concept is an integral model that can be offered as a 5-step Vital Balance Plan. Below we will describe the different applications at the various steps;
Step 1 - Insights
The first step is to understand the baseline. This is done by using questionnaires on medical history and lifestyle, screening of the posture and workload and the V-Check measurement at the beginning and end of the program.
Various professionals can utilize the V-Check report:
- Sport coaches: problematic muscle(s) groups, joints, optimal and bad training times, heart rate zones, acidification, regeneration capacity, type of training.
- Sport physiotherapist: focus on spine and joints, optimal times for treatment of muscles and measuring the result of the treatment.
- Nutritionist: objective measurement of carbohydrates, proteins and fats, vitamins, minerals, moisture and acid-base balance can replace subjective questionnaire from clients;
- Behavioral change: Can one deal with stress, how is psychological drive and motivation to change lifestyle
- Sport masseur: muscles that deserve attention and related organ systems.
- Skin care: indicators of nutrition and stress for skincare, detox and de-stress treatments.
Step 2 - Knowledge
The V-Check report forms the basis for the information and knowledge supply to the customer.
The V-Check report is completely automatically generated without the influence of those who carry out the measurements. The client will be redirected if the V-Check measurement refers to a physiotherapist, doctor or dentist. After all the V-Check is not a health check or medical examination but a tool to measure, monitor and optimize lifestyle and vitality.
In addition to the report and depending on the organization there can be chosen for example:
- Information leaflets explaining the various topics
- Individual information supply
- Group meetings
- Seminars
Step 3 - Action
After the screening and the first measurement are conducted and information and knowledge is handed over, the method and content of the action points are being defined.
The actions should fit to any limitations and capabilities of the client and – of course – to all the recommendations of the V-Check report.
Possible actions are:
- Participation in sport and physical activity
- (Moderate intense exercise for at least 5 times a week)
- Drink sufficient fluids and have a responsible and balanced diet with enough vitamins, fruits, vegetables and fibers.
- Participation in leisure activities and regular relaxation (mindfulness and/or meditation)
- Regular skin and body care
To ensure effect on a longer term the actions should be integrated in a daily routine.

Step 4 - Coaching and motivation
Throughout the whole process, the supervisors play an important role. Regular and structured gathering, according to agreed protocols, are need to be carried out punctual and strictly. Vital Balance Group provides annual certification of the coaches and quality control through a "mystery guest" report; this report will later be discussed with the franchises.
It is clear that intervention should be tailored to the stage of change in which the customer is currently located. Ultimate goals are lifestyle changes, taking personal responsibility and independence.
Step 5 - Monitoring
Continuous guidance and motivation is essential for the success of the program or the intervention. All kinds of monitoring can be applied here, such as personal contact, e-mail, telephone contact, a web portal and social media.
Vital Balance Group has compiled a monitoring kit, which currently is being tested extensively. This kit includes a blood pressure meter, a step counter and a scale for measuring your body composition (fat, weight, moisture and muscles).
The special feature of this monitoring kit is that the stored data is transported wireless to the V-Check portal, so the data is visible for both the customer and his/her coach. The V-Check portal will also be updated for these features.

Final measurement (or between measurement of new program)
As in every cycle, also in this 5-step roadmap a final step is essential, which is also the first step of the next cycle. The client will only realize that the measurement is the first step of a total process when the second measurement is offered directly at the start of the program. This includes of course a final measurement. It is recommended to measure at least two times a year and even every quarter in case there are many problems.
